Midjourney is an independent research lab focused on exploring new mediums of thought and expanding the imaginative powers of the human species. With a small self-funded team of 11 full-time staff and a group of experienced advisors, Midjourney is dedicated to design, human infrastructure, and AI. The team is led by David Holz, founder of Leap Motion and with previous research experience at NASA and Max Planck. The advisory board includes Jim Keller, known for his work at Apple, AMD, Tesla, and Intel, Nat Friedman, CEO of Github, Philip Rosedale, founder of Second Life, and Bill Warner, founder of Avid Technology. Midjourney also has a research and engineering team, legal and finance department, and a group of Discord moderators and guides. Midjourney is actively hiring and invites individuals to join their fully-distributed team to help scale, explore, and build humanist infrastructure focused on amplifying the human mind and spirit.
